The 19th edition of the Hero Hits FM Music Awards 2072 is set to be held on March 11 at the premises of Army Club, in Bhadrakali.

The Awards will have 18 categories where nominees will be competing for titles on the basis of votes received from the public. The event is also introducing a new category, the Lifetime Achievement Award, from this year on, which will felicitate one artist for his/her contribution to the Nepali music industry.

The award ceremony which had its first edition back in 2054 with only seven categories has now expanded to 18 categories. Some of the

categories for the award are: Album of The Year, Song of the Year, Best New Artist, Folk Record of the Rear, Best Male Vocal Performance,

Best Female Vocal Performance, among many others.

Among the nominees are Bipul Chettri, Rohit John Chettri, Robin Sharma, What The Funk and Chrisma Abigail.

Artists like Rohit John Chettri, Trishna Gurung, Deep Shrestha, Kumar Basnet, Kaliprasad Bastola, among others will be performing at the event. The event will be broadcasted live on Nepal Television, hitsfm.com.np and hits FM 91.2 at 3 pm.
