Gallery Mcube is presenting an exhibit by Nyano Space, featuring artworks by BFA Second-Year students from the Department of Art and Design at Kathmandu University School of Arts.
‘Impressions from Ghandruk’ is a collective exhibit featuring works by 35 artists created during a seven-day educational art tour. The showcase will run from May 28 to June 3 at Gallery Mcube.
Featuring watercolour paintings, the exhibit showcases works created on-site during the students’ stay in Ghandruk. Throughout the tour, the students spent their days outdoors, engaging with the local community, exploring the village, observing everyday life, and live-painting in the surrounding environment. These experiences became the foundation of the artworks presented in the exhibit.

“Through watercolour and on-site practice, the exhibition reflects the evolving visual language and artistic sensitivity of emerging young artists,” says Manish Lal Shrestha, curator of Gallery Mcube.
‘Impressions from Ghandruk’ aims to capture the atmosphere, warmth, and daily life of the village through observational and expressive approaches. The exhibit also marks an important step for the participating students as emerging artists, offering a platform to publicly share their creative practices and artistic journeys.
“This collective exhibition brings together works developed through direct engagement with the landscape, community, and everyday life of Ghandruk,” adds Shrestha.
The project was carried out under the guidance of Nabendra Limbu and Gopal Ale Magar.
