Kitab Jatra’s new edition from December 11
The two-day literary festival will feature panel discussions, exhibitions, open mic sessions, and thematic musical performances.Post Report
The seventh edition of Kitab Jatra is set to take place from December 11 to 12 at Nepal Police Club, Kathmandu.
This event will feature discussions on contemporary literature, panel conversations, and opportunities for readers to engage directly with writers.
The festival is divided into two segments. The Inside Hall Events will host formal discussions, speaker sessions, and dialogues. At the same time, the Outside Hall Events will showcase over 30 exhibitions, including Nepali handmade products, book displays, art exhibitions, and various creative stalls.
Festival Director Rishi Ram Adhikari said, “This year, we are welcoming 50 poets and storytellers for the open mic sessions, offering a platform for emerging voices to share their work. Both days, the event will conclude with thematic musical performances.”
He adds that these programmes aim to inspire creativity, foster dialogue, and strengthen Nepal’s literary and cultural landscape. The event is open to the public.
