Khushi Kapoor to star in ‘Mom’ sequel
‘Mom’ earned her mother, Sridevi, a posthumous ‘National Award for Best Actress’.

Indian film producer Boney Kapoor hinted at a sequel to ‘Mom’, his late wife Sridevi’s last film. He also revealed that his youngest daughter, Khushi Kapoor, will play a key role in it. ‘Mom’, released in 2017 and directed by Ravi Udyawar, featured Sridevi, whose performance earned her a posthumous National Award for Best Actress.
Boney also provided an update on his upcoming film ‘No Entry Mein Entry’, starring Diljit Dosanjh, Arjun Kapoor, and Varun Dhawan. Production is scheduled to start in July or August.
‘No Entry Mein Entry’ is a sequel to the 2005 hit film ‘No Entry’. This movie was co-produced by Boney.
According to The New Indian Express, Boney spoke during a media interaction on the green carpet at IIFA 2025, where he announced he will work with his youngest daughter after ‘No Entry Mein Entry’, hinting that the movie could be ‘Mom 2’. Khushi has so far acted in three films; ‘Archies’, ‘Loveyappa’, and ‘Nadaaniyan’.
