‘Nepal Through My Eyes’ in Dhaka

The Nepal Embassy in Dhaka, in collaboration with the Bangladesh-Nepal Friendship Society, organised a painting competition for school-level students at the Central Shaheed Minar on Friday.
The Competition, themed ‘Nepal Through My Eyes’, provided a platform for students to creatively express their unique perspectives on Nepal while celebrating the friendship between Nepal and Bangladesh.
Ambassador Ghanshyam Bhandari inaugurated the competition and acknowledged the students’ participation. He encouraged them to bring their ideas of Nepal to life on canvas. Underscoring that art is a powerful medium for fostering cross-cultural understanding and bringing societies together; he urged the young artists to continue unleashing their potential. The President of the Bangladesh-Nepal Friendship Society, Moshiur Ahmed, welcomed the competition participants.
The competition involved around 350 students from 91 schools in Dhaka. The participants were divided into ages 6 to 10 and 11 to 16.
An eminent panel of judges will select four winners and the best artworks from each category. Later, a separate prize distribution ceremony will be organised to felicitate the winners and selected participants.
