The inaugural Mandala Alumni Drama Festival (MADFest) 2024 will be held at Mandala Theatre Nepal from July 5 to 7. Organised by Mandala Alumni Circle and Mandala Theatre Nepal, this festival celebrates Nepali theatre with a diverse lineup of performances.
MADFest 2024 aims to unite theatre enthusiasts, showcase new talent, and celebrate cultural diversity through creative performances. It's a platform to preserve cultural heritage and support local artists, community spirit and artistic growth.
The festival will feature six engaging plays, including ‘Railway To Nowhere’ by Samyog Guragain and ‘Silpini’ by Bedana Rai, offering a mix of dramas and experimental works for the audiences.
Beyond performances, MAD-Fest will host music, poetry, panel discussions, and Q&A sessions with theatre professionals, enriching the experience for attendees and supporting dialogue about the arts.
According to the organisers, MAD-Fest 2024, led by Dayahang Rai, also aims to promote excellence in Nepali theatre and strengthen connections among Mandala Alumni through the power of artistic expression.
