Second edition of Janakpurdham Cultural Festival concludes

The second edition of Janakpurdham Cultural Festival concluded in Janakpur on Saturday.
The event, jointly organised by the Swami Vivekananda Cultural Centre, the Indian Embassy in Nepal and Consulate General of India, Birgunj and the BP Koirala India-Nepal Foundation, was held at the Mahendranarayan Nidhi Mithila Cultural Centre in Janakpur.
The two-session cultural event featured separate musical performances by teachers and students of the SVCC and singer Menuka Poudel, saree exhibitions, and a Mithila Food Festival curated by chef Santosh Shah.
Janakpur Mayor Manoj Kumar Sah, Madhesh provincial assembly members, and other dignitaries were among those who attended the event, the Indian Embassy said.
The second edition of the cultural festival put on display the shared cultural heritage of Nepal and India, reflecting the common traditions of art, culture and festivals between the two neighbours.
