The Meteorological Forecasting Division has said that the country is currently experiencing a partial impact of a westerly low-pressure system. While the weather remains mostly clear in most regions, hilly areas of Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces are witnessing partial cloud cover. Additionally, dense fog has blanketed many areas in the Tarai region.

Light snowfall is likely in a few high-altitude locations of Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces and one or two areas in Gandaki’s mountainous regions.

The division has also cautioned that foggy conditions in the morning across many parts of the Tarai could disrupt daily life, agriculture, health, transportation, and air travel. Necessary precautions have been advised.
