On Thursday, the country’s hilly areas, including parts of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, are expected to experience partly to generally cloudy skies, with the likelihood of light to moderate rainfall, accompanied by thunder and lightning in some areas.

According to meteorologists, hilly and mountainous regions of Koshi and Gandaki provinces could see light snowfall.

By night, partly to generally cloudy conditions are forecast for Koshi Province and the hilly regions of Bagmati and Gandaki, with a chance of light rain, thunder, and lightning in a few areas. Light snowfall may occur in the high hilly and mountainous areas of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces.

Meteorologists attributed these weather conditions to the influence of western winds and local winds in the hilly regions.

On Wednesday, the maximum temperature was recorded at 35.8°C in Janakpur, while the minimum temperature fell to 4.5°C in Jumla. Lumle received the highest rainfall with 3.5mm in the past 24 hours.
