Sajha Yatayat is adding 30 new large-sized public buses in its fleet with the investment of Rs100 million, the company has announced.
Sajha signed an agreement with Indian automobile manufacturer Ashok Leyland on Thursday for bringing the buses.
Manager of Sajha Yatayat Mahendra Raj Pandeya informed that these will be disabled-friendly buses with capacity of 40 seats and, including passengers who stand up, a total of 100 people can travel in the bus at a time.
Sajha is currently operating 16 buses in three routes in the Valley – New Bus Park-Airport, New Bus Park-Lagankhel and Lagankhel-Budhanilkantha.
The new buses are arriving in four months but it has not yet been decided if they will operate in existing routes or new ones.
