A couple was found murdered in Laljhadi Rural Municipality, Kanchanpur, on Friday.
Police identified the victims as 46-year-old Ramesh Badayak and his 43-year-old wife, Kamala Badayak, residents of ward 1 of the municipality.
Authorities confirmed that they were killed with a sharp weapon.
“Both have injuries to their faces and heads,” said Deputy Superintendent of Police Umesh Joshi from the Kanchanpur District Police Office. “The husband was found on the bed and the wife underneath it.”
He said the couple may have been murdered on Thursday night.
Investigations into the incident are underway.
