Kanchanpur
Police have arrested two men for allegedly attempting to rape a 17-year-old girl in ward 2 of Krishnapur Municipality, Kanchanpur district.
According to Superintendent of Police Krishna Shrestha, the arrested are locals Suresh Chaudhary, 28, and Ramesh Chaudhary, 23.
They alleged attempted to rape the girl while she was visiting a relative’s house for Atwari, a festival observed by the Tharu people.
Police said they are further investigating.
