An Armed Police Force (APF) constable died during a disaster rescue drill in the Seti river in Bajhang district, on Monday.
According to Chief District Officer Bishwamitra Kunkel, APF constable Narendra Singh Dhami drowned in the river near the Bhopur Durbar area and fell unconscious.
Dhami was rescued and taken to the district hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The tragic incident occurred during the joint disaster rescue drill of Nepal Army, Nepali Police, Armed Police Force, Nepal Red Cross Society and Jayaprithvi Municipality.
