The third edition of University Sports will begin on February 5.

The meeting of the National Sports Council’s University Sports Tournament Organisation and Management Committee on Thursday decided on the date.

The third edition is being organised by the National Sports Council and Kathmandu University with the support of Nepalaya International.

The committee’s meeting was chaired by Kamal Bahadur Bhattarai, co-ordinator of the committee and a member of the NSC Executive Committee. Participants at the meeting included Bhim Singh Gurung, chairman of the Nepal Basketball Association, Kuber Prakash Singh, general secretary at the All Nepal Table Tennis Association, and Subash Pradhan, chairman of Nepalaya, alongside representatives of Nepal Volleyball Association and different universities.

The event will see university students compete in three different sports—table tennis, basketball and volleyball—throughout the two-day event. Kathmandu University in Dhulikhel will host it.
