Chitlang defeat Deurali in President League

The ANFA President League kicked off at Hetauda’s Gauritar Stadium with Chitlang FC defeating Deurali Youth Club 4-1 in the opening match on Wednesday.
Chandan Kumar Das became the first scorer of the tournament as he gave Chitlang the lead in the 32nd minute. And before the first half, with four minutes of additional time, came to an end, Chitlang scored two more, that too within a minute.
Lahan Subba Patangwa made it 2-0 in 45+2, while Bigyan Khadka scored the third goal of the match in 45+3.

It was substitute Syangtan who scored the fourth goal for Chitlang in the 88th minute. With the defeat already in sight for Deurali, Ramchandra Wajee scored the consolation goal for the team in 90+3 minutes.
In the tournament where 10 teams have been divided into two groups, Chitlang, the club representing Kathmandu, and Deurali, which represented Dhankuta, are in Group A. As per the fixtures, there will be two matches a day from each group on alternate days.
Thus, in the other match of Group A on Wednesday, Bijaya Sports Club of Kailali played a goalless draw with Laligurans Association Club of Kaski.
Despite being goalless, the second match of the day, however, had the match referee Umesh Bidari reaching into his pocket several times. Bidari showed seven yellow cards in the match—four against Bijaya and three against Laligurans.
In Group B, Hairans Club of Tanahun will face Kakre Bihar Youth Club of Surkhet in the first match on Thursday. Dolakha’s Tigers’ Team will lock horns with Udayapur’s Gaighat FC later in the day.
