1st National Mini Skate Marathon on Sept 20
With 300+ skateparks in operation throughout Nepal of late, the participants, who should be over 14 years of age, are said to be the best ones.

The Skate Land, in coordination with Nepal Skating and Skateboarding Association (NSSA), is organising the first edition of the National Mini Skate Marathon on September 20.
Making the event public at a press meet in Kathmandu on Tuesday, Abrahim Rai, founder of The Skate Land, said that the 5km mini marathon will see participation of around 200 skaters. The route for the marathon starts from Aalapot of Sundarijal to Talin Chowk of Gokarna.
“The first two kilometres of the marathon is in the rural area while the remaining runs through the main road,” said Achut Khanal, president of NSSA. “We have coordinated with local traffic to manage the vehicular movement during the event.”
With 300+ skateparks in operation throughout Nepal of late, the participants, who should be over 14 years of age, are said to be the best ones.
The winner will receive Rs50,000 alongside skate shoes and safety gear while the second-placed skater will bag Rs30,000 and skate shoes. The third-placed athlete will walk away with Rs15,000 and safety gear.
