Tribhuvan Army Club secured a commanding victory over Armed Police Force (APF) in the men’s category of the Ncell Fifth Tiger Cup National and International Club Volleyball Tournament at the volleyball court in Pokhara Stadium on Sunday.

Army clinched the match 3-0, taking the first set 25-18, the second 25-23, and the third 25-15. Earlier, Nepal Police Club defeated Gandaki 3-2 in a closely contested match.

In the opening match of the men’s category, India’s Sunil Volleyball Club defeated defending champions Tip Top Help Nepal 3-1. Meanwhile, in the women’s category, the host team overcame Tribhuvan Army Club with a straight-set victory of 3-0.

The tournament, organised by Tiger Group of Pokhara, will continue until February 1. The league phase will now commence with winning and losing teams from the initial matches competing in separate league stages.
