Street Workout Championship on April 22

Nepali Youth Fitness and Calisthenics (NYFC) is set to organise Street Workout Championship on April 22 at Narayan Chaur in Naxal, Kathmandu.
Organising a press conference in Kathmandu on Sunday, NYFC president Sukadev Karki informed that the event will be held in two categories—bar workout and circuit workout.
The participants will compete in five sections including men’s open bar, men’s open circuit, women’s circuit, senior men’s circuit above 40 and men’s under-16 age categories. The organisers have expected a participation of around 400 players in total and 200 in the final.
The best performer in bar and circuit workout will be declared the winner and also win the title of the fittest athlete. The best performer will be decided on the basis of workout at a particular time frame.
The fittest athlete will get a cash prize of Rs51,000, a certificate and a gold medal. The top three finishers in bar and circuit workout categories in all five sections will be given Rs20,000, Rs15,000 and Rs10,000, respectively.
The expected cost of the event is Rs2 million and the chief sponsor Himalaya Quista Pro will provide Rs400,000.
According to NYFC, they have installed equipment for open workouts in 35 different places of the countries under collaboration with corporate houses with the motto of a ‘Healthy Nepal’.
