Roots Fashion join NSJF for Pulsar Sports Award
As per the deal, Roots Fashion will provide Adidas sportswear worth Rs1 million for the award ceremony.Sports Bureau
Nepal Sports Journalists Forum (NSJF) has roped in Roots Fashion Private Limited, the sole authorised distributors of Adidas sportswear, for the Pulsar Sports Award to be held in Kathmandu on March 7.
NSJF President Durga Nath Subedi (Devendra) and Roots Fashion Managing Director Sanjeev Tuladhar inked the deal. The deal will be valid for three years.
As per the deal, Roots Fashion will provide Adidas sportswear worth Rs1 million for the award ceremony.
“We are pleased to tie up with the prestigious Sports Award which has been honouring sportsperson for almost two decades,” said Tuladhar who also recalled that they were associated with the Award in the past as well. “Though we could not give continuity to our association with Award in the past due to different reasons, we are committed to give continuity to it in future,” he said.
NSJF president Subedi said that the association with prestigious brands like Adidas meant the increasing credibility of the Award in Nepali sports fraternity.
The Sports Award to take place at Nepal Academy in Kamaladi will honour sportspersons in eight categories, including player of the year male, female, youth, coach, peoples’ choice award, para athlete honour, special award and lifetime achievement award. The event will also honour an international sports journalist with the Asian Sports Journalist honour.
NSJF has already announced five nominees for peoples’ choice award to be decided through e-sewa votings, points allocated by coaches and members of NSJF. The winners of five categories will be awarded with a Pulsar two wheeler, while the winners of three categories will be given Rs50,000 apart from gift hampers.
According to NSJF there will be five nominees each in player of the year male, female, coach and youth. There won’t be nominations in other categories and the winners will be picked directly announced during the award ceremony.
