Nepal and India first friendly match ends in draw

Nepal and India played a 1-1 draw in the first of the two international friendly football matches played at the Dasharath Stadium, Tripureshwor on Thursday.
Nepal took the lead against the South Asian giants in the 36th minute of the game through the goal of Anjan Bista.
Bista was presented with the golden opportunity after Indian goalie Gurpreet Singh failed to control a back pass by India centre back Chinglensana Singh.
The Nepali forward player capitalised on the mistake and gave the home team the lead.
Nepal were able to protect their lead until in the 60th minute India's Anirudh Thapa levelled the score.
Thapa's goal for India came after Nepal Captain and goalie Kiran Chemjong failed to properly clear a shot by Indian skipper Sunil Chhetri.
Nepal will play the second friendly match against India on Sunday.
