Eight time national table tennis champion and Nepal number 1 female player Nabita Shrestha formally launcheda table tennis academy in Khusibu,Kathmandu, on Monday.
The Stag Champions Table TennisAcademy has three boards.“I had a long held dream to run anacademy. I had thought of taking amore active role in coaching than as aplayer after the 13th South AsianGames and the support of family wasvital to setting up the academy,” saidShrestha.
“Some talented players do not gettraining opportunities due tofinancial and other problems. Theacademy will be helpful for such typesof players.”
Nepal Olympic CommitteePresident Jeevan Ram Shrestha inaugurated the academy.
