Nepal defeated Bangladesh 3-0 to book a place in the semi-final of the 5th SAFF women's football championship.
In the match played on Saturday at the Martyr Stadium, Nepal took the lead with an own goal by Masura Prabhin of Bangladesh in the 6th minute of the match. Sabitra Bhandari made it 2-0 with a goal in the 23rd minute.
Likewise, Manjali Kumari Yonzon scored the third goal of the match in the 28th minute to give Nepal a 3-0 lead. The scoreline remained the same until the end, sending Nepal to the semi-final after topping Group A.
Nepal will now play on Wednesday in the semi-final against second in group B. India and Sri Lanka are playing tomorrow to decide the winner and the runner-up in group B.
