Kathmandu
Veteran Nepali spinner Shakti Gauchan has announced his retirement from international cricket.
Speaking to media before leaving for Lord’s on Wednesday, Gauchan said the two-match ODI game against Netherlands will be his final foreign tour. He added the next game in Nepal will be his last in national colours.
Gauchan said he, however, will continue to play in national leagues and tournaments.
Nepal are scheduled to play against Marylebone Cricket Club and the Netherlands in a one-day triangular T20 series at Lord’s on July 29. The T20 series will be followed by the Nepal’s tour of Netherlands.
Nepal had earned the ODI status after finishing eighth in the ICC World Cup Qualifiers in Zimbabwe in March.
