Manang Marshyangdi Club (MMC) defeated hosts Udaypur XI 1-0 to advance into the semi-finals of Udaypur Gold Cup football tournament in Gaighat, Udaypur, on Sunday.
Following a barren first half, Bimal Rana netted the decisive goal for the top-tier Kathmandu-based outfits in the 83rd minute. Rambo Chaudhary of hosts Udaypur was declared the-man-of-the-match.
Three Star Club will take on Morang XI on Monday. The tournament offers a cash prize of Rs 500,000 to the champions and the runners up will get Rs 300,000. In all eight teams after taking part in the tournament played under knockout format.
