Tuladhar back in the saddle

Tuladhar, president of ‘A’ Division outfits Sankata Club, was one of the influential figures in the Anfa election on Sunday leaving Mani Kunwar-led group to join Sherpa camp. Rabindra Joshi has been nominated as treasurer. Newly elected member Kiran Rai was entrusted with responsibility of spokesperson.
The meeting has also decided to form a league committee under the former national footballer Bigyan Raj Sharma. The committee will get full shape after necessary discussions with stakeholders, informed Anfa. The committee has been assigned to draft the structure of the league as well as finalise the date of the tournament within 10 days of its formation.
Among other decisions, Tashi Ghale was retained as honorary president while former vice president Kishor Rai was nominated as senior honorary vice president. Saraswati Club president Shikshit Parajuli was named the financial committee coordinator, Nabin Pande the chief of international relations and the advisory committee coordinator. Dipak Khati was named as audit and compliance committee coordinator.
With the view to regulate and categorise the tournaments held outside the capital, the meeting also decided to form a committee. The newly elected vice president Upendra Man Singh was named the coordinator of grassroots programmes at all districts affiliated with Anfa.
Vice president Bir Bahadur Khadka will coordinate the district coordination committee and Krishna Bahadur Thapa, the another vice president, will head the technical committee.
The meeting also decided to run all Anfa Academy and senior honorary vice president Rai was assigned to draft plans to make the plan work. Anfa has three academies but only Satdobato Academy is functioning smoothly. Academy in Dharan has been shut down for the last six years and in Butwal it is operated at the local level by Rupandehi District Football Association.
Appeal Committee, disciplinary committee, marketing and education department will also be formed in due course, Anfa said. The meeting also decided to form an eight-member steering committee which includes president and four vice presidents as members while general secretary, treasurer and spokesperson will be the ex officio members.
Spokesperson Rai was named the selection committee coordinator for Anfa’s various annual awards while Dawa Lama was named coordinator of the annual Coca-Cola Cup Inter School football tournament. Grant of Rs 50,000 has also been approved for each district to organise tournaments.
The meeting also decided to host district, provincial and central-level tournaments under Anfa President’s Cup. Anfa also said it well make a written request to the government to expedite the renovation of Dashrath Stadium.
