Eastern Region entered the semi-finals of the Prime Minister Cup Twenty20 National cricket tournament with a crushing 98-run victory over Mid-Western Region at the Fapla cricket grounds on Friday.
Electing to bat first in a Group ‘A’ game, Eastern Region made 134-5 with 42 runs from Kajol Shrestha and 41 from skipper Rubin Chhetri. Midwest in reply were bundled out for just 36 runs in 19 overs.
In another match, Central Region edged Far-Western Region by 12 runs to finish Group ‘B’ winners. (PR)
