Hosts New Diamond Academy and Nepal Armed Police Force (APF) Club advanced into the semi-final of the New Diamond Cup Women’s National volleyball tournament here on Sunday.
New Diamond eased past Tribhuvan Army Club 25-13, 25-19, 25-17 in the curtain raiser from Group ‘B’. In Group ‘A’ match, APF saw off Tops Higher Secondary School of Pokhara 25-12, 25-22, 25-10 to book semi-final ticket. All four participating teams have confirmed their entry into semi-finals after Nepal Police Club and Shree Gaun Sports Development Committee of Dang withdrew their participation in the last stage.
The winner and the runners up of the tournament will walk away with purse of Rs 151,000 and Rs101,000. (PR)
