Golden Gate ‘B’ and Prime College ‘D’ clinched the titles of NeBA President Cup 3x3 Nation-wide Basketball Championships at the National Sports Council covered hall on Sunday.
Both the champions beat teams from their own colleges in the title clashes. Golden Gate ‘B’ defeated their ‘A’ Team 21-20 in the boys’ final, while Prime saw off their ‘D’ Team 13-1 in the girls’ finals.
Rajiv Joshi of Golden Gate and Luniva Singh of Prime were declared the most valuable players of the tournament.
Top two winners in boys’ section were rewarded with Rs 40,000 and 20,000. The girls’ champions received Rs 30,000 and the runners-up took Rs 15,000.
The league-cum-knockout tournament featured 48 teams in boys’ and 12 in girls’ category. (PR)
