A five-member Nepali boxing team including three players left for Bangkok on Thursday to compete in the Asian Youth Boxing Championship slated for July 1-8.
Nima Gyaljen Sherpa (52kg), Surendra Rai (56kg) and Bishal Shrestha (75kg) will represent Nepal in the event featuring players aged between 17 to 18 years.
Dambar Bahadur Limbu and Deepak Maharjan are the coaches to accompany the boxers.
National Sports Council member Arjun Bahadur KC and Nepal Boxing Association President Ram Awale bade farewell to the team. (PR)
