Sankata Club and Nepal Police Club (NPC) made it to the semi-finals of the Lalit Memorial U-18 Championship on Friday.
Sankata Club hammered routed Jawalakhel Youth Club (JYC) 4-1 to set up a clash with Friends Club. In the day’s second game, NPC rallied to beat Himalayan Sherpa Club 3-2 to set up a meeting with departmental archrivals Tribhuvan Army Club. Devraj Tamang struck a hat-trick for Sankata. Tamang opened the scoring in the 35th minute and added his second three minutes later before completing a hat-trick in the 88th. Laxman Gurung scored the another in the 54th minute. Sushant Chaudhary scored for JYC in 67th minute.
