Group A table toppers Chyasal Youth Club have been disqualified from the Lalit Memorial U-18 Football Championship for fielding ineligible players.
Gaurav Shrestha and Pasang Sherpa, who played on Tuesday during their 2-1 win over Saraswati Youth Club, their last group match, were found over-aged after inquiry by the All Nepal Football Association.
Saraswati had filed protest after the defeat claiming that the two were over-aged. After the disqualification, Saraswati reached quarter-finals as Group B runner up while APF, the runners-up, were promoted as pool winners.
