One-way traffic resumes on Kanti Lokpath
Small vehicles allowed through under-construction bridge; diversion yet to be rebuilt for heavy vehicles.

One-way traffic has resumed along the Kanti Lokpath after floods in the Bagmati River swept away a diversion, completely halting vehicular movement.
According to the District Police Office, Hetauda, small vehicles including cars, jeeps, and motorcycles are now allowed to travel in one direction through an under-construction bridge at Baguwa section of the highway.
The diversion was washed away by floodwaters triggered by Sunday night’s rainfall. Heavy vehicles are still barred from using the route until the diversion is rebuilt.
The diversion had been facilitating traffic while repair works continue on the main bridge over the Bagmati River, which lies between ward 8 of Bhimphedi Rural Municipality and ward 2 of Bagmati Rural Municipality.
A similar incident had occurred earlier on May 5 when floodwaters also swept away the diversion, disrupting traffic along the highway.
