One dead, 12 injured in head-on collision in Makawanpur

The injured are receiving treatment in various health institutions in Chitwan, said police.

A man died while 12 others were injured, most of them seriously, when a Mahindra Scorpio and a car collided head-on in Manahari Rural Municipality-6 along the East-West Highway on Saturday.

Police identified the deceased as 60-year-old Surendra Lal Shrestha of Hetaudea Sub-Metropolis-4. Shrestha, who was driving the car when the incident occurred, died in the course of treatment in Chitwan.

The injured are receiving treatment in various health institutions in Chitwan, said police.
