A man was injured in a tiger attack near Narayanghat on Sunday morning.
According to the District Administration Office, Chitwan, Pashupati Shrestha, 60, of Bharatpur Metropolitan City-2, was attacked by a tiger on the banks of the Narayani river.
Thir Bahadur Karki, division forest officer of the Chitwan Division Forest Office, said that locals informed them of the tiger’s attack and its subsequent hiding in a bamboo field.
Deputy Superintendent of Police Bhesh Raj Rijal, spokesperson for the District Police Office, Chitwan, said Shrestha sustained injuries to his face and hands and is currently receiving treatment at Chitwan Medical College in Bharatpur.
