Assistant Sub Inspector Rabindra Thakur, in charge of the Ratnabari Area Police Post located in ward 6 of Phikkal Rural Municipality, died, and Police Assistant Head Constable Surya Kumar Shrestha got injured in a motorcycle accident on Sunday.
According to the police, Thakur died in the course of treatment at the Sunkoshi Community Hospital in Khurkot.
The injured person is being treated at the same hospital. Both security personnel were returning from patrol.
