Six held on charge of smuggling rhino’s horn

The Chitwan National Park (CNP) has detained six people on charges of smuggling rhino horn. The CNP made public the arrests by organising a press meet on Tuesday.
Chhabilal Pariyar, Prakash Ghimire, Kranti Khadka, Lekhanath Sunar of Kawasoti and Khim Bahadur Baral of Bulingtar in Nawalparasi and Prakash Raj Joshi of Bajhang were held from Bharatpur last month.
The suspects allegedly cut off the horn of a rhino, which was found dead in the forest some eight years ago.
They were detained while they attempted to sell the horn.
