Nepal Army personnel deployed at Parsa National Park arrested three men along with 36 kg of marijuana on Monday night.
The security personnel apprehended Rajendra Ghising, 23, and Bivek Chepang, 27, of Kailash Rural Municipality-3 and Uttam Pakhrin, 22, of Hetauda Sub-Metropolitan City-18 from Manahari Rural Municipality-7.
The arrestees, along with the seized marijuana, were handed over to the Manahari Area Police Office on Tuesday morning.
“They will be charged after further investigation,” said Police Inspector Deepak Thapa.
Marijuana and opium produced in Raksirang and Kailash municipals of Makwanpur and Dhading are smuggled to India through the national park.
