A man died in Kanpur of Namobuddha Municipality-5 after being assaulted by his wife.
According to Deputy Superintendent of Police Raj Kumar Shrestha, 59-year-old Dhanbir Damai was beaten to death by his 40-year-old wife Kamala Pariyar at around 9:30am on Saturday.
Pariyar was in an inebriated state, said Shrestha, also the spokesperson at the district police office.
Further investigation into the matter is underway.
