Traffic resumed along the Narayanghat-Mugling road section on Friday evening, 28 hours later it was obstructed following a landslide.
Bharatpur Road Division Office said the road became operational both ways from 5pm after the debris was cleared.
The office has requested all travellers passing through the road to adopt caution as risks of getting hit by falling rocks still persist.
The road was obstructed following the mudslide at 1pm on Thursday.
Falling rocks hit two motorcycles soon after the traffic resumed. Ramesh Prasad Poudel, chief of the Bharatpur road office, said the riders managed to escape unhurt.
