Chitwan reports first Covid-19 death in eight months

Chitwan district has reported the first Covid-19 death in eight months.
A 64-year-old man from Bharatpur Metropolis-10 died at Chitwan Medical College on Saturday night while undergoing treatment for Covid-19 infection, according to Gitanjali Dhakal, public health officer of Chitwan health office.
The health office puts Covid-19 deaths in Chitwan since the beginning of the pandemic at 451.
The district had last reported a Covid-19 death on August 8 last year.
According to the health office, there are currently 10 active cases.
Durga Chapagain, the chief of the health office, requested all to be careful and follow health protocols in the wake of a rise in Covid cases.
