Police arrested a 40-year-old woman, who was on the run for seven years in a human trafficking case.
According to DSP Khagendra Bahadur Khadka, information officer at the District Police Office, Hering Dolma Tamang, a resident of Shivapuri Rural Municipality Ward 1, was arrested on Sunday from Bidur Municipality Ward 2.
The case against Tamang was registered on April 14, 2016, in human trafficking, and since then she was on the run.
“Tamang operates a brothel on GB Road in Delhi, India. She trafficks young and vulnerable women from Nepal to India and forces them into sex work,” said Khadka.
