UML’s Balkrishna Siwakoti takes lead in Dolakha

CPN-UML candidate Balkrishna Siwakoti has taken lead in the vote count in Dolakha.
Siwakoti, who was trailing Ganga Karki of the CPN (Maoist Centre) since the beginning of the counting, has climbed to the first position garnering 17,311 votes.
Karki is second in the election race receiving 15,314 votes, as of 8:30am on Sunday.
Jagadish Kharel of the Rastriya Swatantra Party has got 2,244 votes.
The Election Commission had conducted re-polling at 10 voting centres in the district on Thursday after charges of ballot stuffing during the elections on November 20.
The re-polling was held at voting centres A and B of Putalikath, Baiteshwari Rural Municipality-2 and at voting centres A, B, and C at ward 3 of the rural municipality.
Also, re-polling was held at A, B and C centres in ward 6 of the rural municipality, and voting centres A and B in ward 3 of Tamakoshi Rural Municipality.
The UML is placed second with a win in 44 constituencies. The CPN (Maoist Centre) is placed third in the seat tally winning 17 seats as the CPN (Unified Socialist) is placed fourth with registering victory in ten constituencies.
