Dahal, Oli secure HoR seats in respective constituencies
Maoist Centre chair Dahal won the election from Gorkha-2 while UML Chair Oli was elected from Jhapa-5.

Former prime ministers Pushpa Kamal Dahal and KP Sharma Oli have been re-elected to the House of Representatives from their respective constituencies.
Dahal, chairman of the CPN (Maoist Centre), had contested the election from Gorkha-2. He beat his closest competitor by a margin of 13,466 votes, garnering 26,103 votes. Kabindra Burlakoti of the Rastriya Swatantra Party came in second with 12,637 votes while CPN-UML candidate Abdus Salam Miya, finished third with 7,393 votes.
Similarly, Oli, chairman of the CPM-UML, emerged victorious with 52,319 votes from Jhapa-5. He finished 28,576 votes ahead of his closest competitor, Khagendra Adhikari of the Nepali Congress, who received 23,743 votes.
Dahal had previously been elected from Chitwan-3.
