UML’s Krishna Gopal Shrestha re-elected from Kathmandu-9
Shrestha finished 995 votes ahead of his closest competitor.

Krishna Gopal Shrestha of the CPN-UML has been re-elected House of Representatives member from Kathmandu-9. He received 11,956 votes.
Shrestha finished 995 votes ahead of his closest competitor, Tek Bahadur Pokharel of the Rastriya Swatantra Party, who received 10,961 votes.
Likewise, CPN (Maoist Centre) candidate Kalpana Dhamala secured 6,402 votes.
Shrestha was elected to the House of Representatives in 2017 general elections from the same constituency.
