Police seize 133kg marijuana from car in Rautahat
Driver flees after vehicle overturns while attempting to evade police.

Police in Garuda, Rautahat, seized 133 kilograms of marijuana from a private car on Tuesday after the driver attempted to flee a checkpoint.
According to Deputy Superintendent of Police Rajan Karki of the Garuda Area Police Office, the red car was carrying 13 bundles of marijuana when it overturned near Jhajhkhola in ward 5 of Garuda Municipality.
The vehicle, travelling from Chandranigahapur towards Gaur, ignored police instructions to stop in front of the Area Police Office. Suspecting foul play, officers pursued the car, which was later found abandoned about 20 feet below the roadside in a bushy area near the river. The driver had fled the scene.
Police recovered the car with the help of a crane and have launched an investigation to identify the vehicle owner.
