A 50-year-old man died in an attack by a tiger at Subarnapur in ward 5 of Thori Rural Municipality in Parsa. According to the Area Police Office in Thori, the body of Kanchha Lal Dong was found in a field near his house on Wednesday evening. 

Police Inspector Santosh Rai said there were injuries apparently caused by tiger’s claws around the body. Dong went to his shed on Wednesday afternoon, but he did not return home. Parsa National Park lies around one kilometre to the north of the incident site. 

The body was sent to Narayani Hospital in Birgunj for postmortem, said police.
