Five dead in Dharan school bus crash identified
Four critically injured admitted to BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences.Post Report
The identities of five people, including a child, who died in a school bus accident at Zero Point in ward 13 of Dharan Sub-metropolitan City have been ascertained.
The bus, belonging to the Times International Academy in Janakpur, travelling from Bhedetar to Dharan on Koshi Highway, lost control and crashed into New Saba Medical around 4pm on Sunday. Twelve others were injured.
According to Sunsari District Police, two people on the bus and three at the medical centre died on the spot.
The deceased include 24-year-old Subeksha Subba, director of Saba Medical; Omesh Rai of Barahakshetra Municipality-3; 19-year-old Nayan Thapa Magar of Mechinagar in Jhapa; an 18-month-old child and 31-year-old Dhairiya Kumar Yadav of Mahottari.
Four people are in serious condition and are receiving treatment at BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences, Dharan, said Deputy Superintendent of Police Bhishan Babu Rai.
