Doctor dies after falling from hospital’s fifth floor

A 34-year-old doctor, Amit Yadav, who was doing his internship at Nobel Medical College in Biratnagar, died on Sunday morning after falling from the fifth floor of the hospital.
Police said Yadav fell from the hospital building at around 6:30am and died while being treated. A resident of Jagdari in Rajbiraj Municipality, Saptari, Yadav had completed his MBBS and had been interning at the hospital for a few months.
Deputy Superintendent of Police Kopila Chundal, spokesperson for the District Police, Morang, said an investigation is underway. Preliminary police reports indicate Yadav had mental health issues, but it is yet to be confirmed whether his fall was accidental or a suicide.
