18 students injured in school van accident
Six referred to B&C Hospital for further treatment.

As many as 18 students were injured when a school van met with an accident in Mechinagar Municipality, Jhapa, on Friday morning.
The vehicle, belonging to Parijat Public School, fell into the Timai stream in ward 9 of the municipality at around 9:30am.
Local residents rescued the injured and rushed them to Amda Mechi Hospital in Dhulabari.
Police said six students and the driver were referred to B&C Hospital in Birtamod for further treatment. The remaining students are undergoing treatment at Amda Hospital.
