Dhan Bahadur Bishwakarma, a 59-year-old inmate serving a sentence in a murder case at Jhapa Prison, died during treatment on Monday.

Originally from ward 4 of Mangsebung Rural Municipality in Ilam, Bishwakarma experienced sudden breathing difficulties this afternoon and was immediately taken to the Provincial Hospital in Bhadrapur. However, he died during treatment.

The prison authorities said Bishwakarma’s family had been informed, and further investigation and legal procedures are underway.
